Precision Mold Components
Custom Manufacturing
Drawing-Based Manufacturing for Precision Mold Parts
We manufacture custom precision mold components from customer drawings, with machining, EDM, grinding, and dimensional inspection selected according to part geometry and critical requirements.
Capabilities Overview
Manufacturing capabilities for custom mold components and precision tooling parts based on customer requirements.
Why Choose Us
Typical Mold Components We Manufacture
Drawing-based mold components for forming, assembly, tooling, and project-specific requirements.
Coordinated Manufacturing for Precision Mold Components
Precision mold components may require more than one machining process depending on part geometry, material, critical dimensions, and surface requirements. CNC machining, EDM, wire EDM, electrode manufacturing, and precision grinding are selected and combined according to the customer drawing.
Dimensional Inspection
Inspection methods are selected according to the customer drawing, part geometry, and critical features. Key dimensions, fitting areas, and functional features are verified using suitable dimensional inspection methods, including CMM where appropriate.
Drawing-Based Verification
Critical dimensions, fitting surfaces, and functional features are identified from the customer drawing and checked according to their importance to part fit and function.
CMM Inspection
CMM is used where coordinate-based measurement is appropriate to verify dimensions, feature positions, and geometric relationships on precision mold components.
Final Dimensional Verification
Before release, required dimensions are checked against the customer drawing using suitable measuring methods for the features being verified.
Replacement Mold Components
When mold components become worn, damaged, or need to be replaced, the replacement part must match the existing mold in critical dimensions, fitting surfaces, material requirements, and functional features.
Drawing & Requirement Review
Replacement requirements are reviewed against the available drawing, material specification, critical dimensions, fitting areas, and functional features of the component.
Critical Fit & Dimension Control
Fitting surfaces, locating features, critical dimensions, and other interface areas are given particular attention so the replacement component can be evaluated for compatibility with the existing mold.
Manufacturing & Final Verification
The required machining processes are selected according to the replacement component, and critical features are dimensionally verified against the confirmed requirements before release.
