Precision CNC Machining Services
Custom CNC machining for precision components and mold parts, supported by dimensional inspection and complementary EDM, wire EDM, and grinding capabilities.
Precision CNC Machining for Custom Parts
Zecheng provides drawing-based CNC machining for precision mold components and custom metal parts. Depending on the geometry, material, and critical dimensions of each part, CNC machining can be combined with EDM, wire EDM, precision grinding, and dimensional inspection to support the required manufacturing process. We focus on manufacturing parts to customer drawings and functional requirements rather than offering standard off-the-shelf components. This allows the machining process to be planned around the part design, fitting requirements, and dimensions that matter most to the final application.
What We Machine
Precision Mold Components
We machine precision mold components from customer drawings, including inserts, cores, cavities, sliders, and other tooling parts that require controlled dimensions and reliable fitting.

Machining Capabilities for Precision Parts
Different part geometries and critical features may require more than one machining process. We combine CNC machining with EDM, wire EDM, precision grinding, and dimensional inspection as needed to support drawing-based precision component manufacturing.
Materials We Commonly Machine
We machine a range of tool and mold steels, high-speed steels, stainless steels, aluminum, and cemented carbide for custom precision parts and mold components. Because material grade designations vary between JIS, AISI, and European standards, commonly used cross-references are shown where helpful. Final material requirements are always based on the customer drawing or specified material standard.
Material Grade Note: Grade cross-references are provided for communication purposes. Final material selection and acceptance follow the grade and standard specified on the customer drawing or purchasing requirements.
Precision and Dimensional Control
Tight-tolerance machining depends on more than a single tolerance value. Part geometry, material, feature size, machining method, and inspection approach all affect how critical dimensions should be controlled.
At Zecheng, critical dimensions are reviewed from the customer drawing and manufacturing process. Depending on the part requirements, CNC machining may be combined with EDM, wire EDM, precision grinding, and dimensional inspection to support fitting surfaces, hole positions, thickness, flatness, profiles, and other function-critical features.
For particularly demanding dimensions, tolerance feasibility should be confirmed against the actual drawing rather than treated as a general capability for every part.
Inspection and Quality Control
Dimensional inspection is selected according to the part geometry, critical features, tolerance requirements, and customer drawings. CMM, optical measurement, and other dimensional inspection methods are used as appropriate to verify the features that matter to part fit and function.
Typical Applications
Our CNC machining and supporting processes are used for precision components and tooling across a range of applications where drawing requirements, dimensional control, and reliable part fit are important.
Mold & Tooling Applications
Precision mold components, tooling parts, inserts, fixtures, and other drawing-based components used in mold manufacturing and production support.
From Drawing to Finished Part
From drawing review to machining, inspection, and delivery, each stage is planned around the part requirements and customer specifications.
01 Drawing & Requirements Review
We review the customer drawing, CAD files, material, quantity, critical dimensions, and other project requirements before manufacturing.
02 Process Planning
Based on the part geometry and requirements, we plan the machining sequence, supporting processes, and appropriate inspection methods.
03 Precision Machining
Parts are manufactured according to the drawing using CNC machining and, where required, EDM, wire EDM, or precision grinding.
04 Dimensional Inspection
Critical dimensions and functional features are verified using suitable inspection methods based on the drawing and part requirements.
05 Packaging & Delivery
After inspection, finished parts are cleaned, protected, packaged, and prepared for delivery.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What information do you need for a CNC machining quote?
Please provide your 2D drawing and/or 3D CAD file together with the required material, quantity, critical dimensions or tolerances, surface requirements, and any other relevant project specifications. This information helps us review the part and plan an appropriate manufacturing process.
2. Can you machine tight-tolerance parts?
Yes, depending on the part geometry, material, feature size, machining process, and inspection method. Tight-tolerance requirements are reviewed against the actual drawing because the achievable tolerance can vary between different features and parts.
3. What materials can you machine?
We commonly machine tool and mold steels, high-speed steels, stainless steel, aluminum, and cemented carbide. Specific grades and material requirements are reviewed according to the customer drawing and project requirements.
4. Can CNC machining be combined with EDM, wire EDM, or grinding?
Yes. Depending on the part geometry and critical features, CNC machining can be combined with EDM, wire EDM, precision grinding, and other supporting processes to complete features that may require different machining methods.
5. How are precision machined parts inspected?
Inspection methods are selected according to the drawing, feature geometry, and dimensional requirements. Depending on the part, this may include CMM inspection, optical measurement, and other dimensional measuring tools suitable for the features being verified.
